Our Own "California Adventure"
Just a few random picture of our vacation. I always forget to post these pictures in the opposite order that we did them. We arrived at my brother Jeff's house Wednesday night and headed to my other brother Will's house to stay the night. He lives about 15 minutes away from Disneyland. We went to Disneyland all day Thursday (see next post) Friday (thanks to my sister-in-law ReAnn's planning) we had breakfast at an air field which was a delight for the boys. It kept them entertained while we waited for our food. We also went to a kids "space" place I guess you call it. It was very caotic but very entertaining for our boys. We were pretty tried after those two events so we decided to take it easy and just play at the pool at my brothers. (I forgot to take pictures of that as well as the kids place. OOps) Saturday we spent the day at Laguna Beach. Neal and my dad loved boogie boarding and as a result they were pretty sunburned by the end of the day. The twins weren't really into the ocean but Max couldn't get enough. He laughed every time the waves hit him and really didn't do any thing else but play in the water. Sunday ended with Church and a birthday celebration. (I can't believe I am no longer in my 20's.) We traveled to St. George that night and then home to Spanish Fork on Monday. It was a great vacation. I think it will take us a few years to recoop physically and financially but well worth the trip!
Disneyland!
We finally made it! It was quite the adventure. We ended up only doing one day but I think for first timers like ourselves it was enough. We were exhausted! We got there right when it opened at 8:00 and stayed until 7:00 that night. The highlight for the twins was helping Buzz shoot Zurg and Max loved driving his own car. He took the responsiblity quite seriously. He didn't believe he was allowed to drive because he wasn't old enough but after some convincing he decided to give it a try. I tried to take a picture of him and he wouldn't even look at me because he was driving and "had to watch the road." The boys loved meeting Mickey Mouse twice and Josh actually gave him the high five he had been talking about doing for weeks. It was nice having my parents there too. They helped out so much and my dad who normally doesn't get into the whole Disneyland experience actually enjoyed himself and wanted to endulge the boys any chance he could. He insisted on buying them Mickey Mouse hats and even did some of the rides twice! We took so many pictures I decided to try one of those slide things.

Max turns 5!
The Birthday was a great success thanks to Rachael's hard work. All the kids had lots of fun with the jungle games and activities. They made ears and played Tarzan says, and jungle charades.
Max received a bunch of soccer stuff, and a new bicycle. He actually did pretty good on the first day. I let go of him and he did just fine, however, I was on his left at one point and he started to ditch to the right. He was just a little out of my reach when he pulled hard right and curbed it pretty good. He only cried a little and only complained twice about how I didn't "catch" him. I made him get right back on before he got scared about falling. He didn't even notice that he was bleeding until we were all done riding. Over all he did pretty good.
Independence!!!
The 4th of July! We got up early to go see the balloons. The boys love them, but they lift off when it is the coolest part of the day. That means about 6:30 am. Later we went swimming and hung out with the Fraser clan. Of course we saw fireworks and all slept late the next morning. (Well except for the twins who never sleep late.)

Camping in Provo Canyon
Neal asked me to post these awhile ago. We went camping about a month ago up Provo Canyon with Neal's sisters. The boys were in heaven. They asked to go to bed before it was even close to being dark just so they could sleep in the tent. (I guess once we have a backyard we will have let them sleep in a tent every night if it means they go to bed that early.) They also loved roasting marshmallows and starbursts. We need to go more often. It was a lot of fun.
